PE/ Physical Education Teacher Required – Walsall – Immediate Start
Job Type: Part Time (4 days per week), Temporary, Maternity Cover
Salary: £165-£262 per day (dependent on experience)

Monarch Education is working with a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Walsall who are seeking a PE / Physical Education Teacher to join their team for an immediate start, covering a period of maternity leave.
The school has a strong sense of community and places high importance on student wellbeing, inclusive practice, and positive behaviour for learning. Staff work collaboratively in a supportive environment, with clear expectations and a shared commitment to helping pupils achieve both academically and personally.
The successful candidate will be joining a well-established PE department that values high-quality teaching, teamwork, and active participation in school life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across relevant key stages
- Promote participation, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles
- Plan and adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- Assess and monitor pupil progress in line with school expectations
- Maintain a safe and organised practical learning environment, following health and safety guidance
- Contribute positively to departmental planning and the wider school community
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience teaching PE within KS3 and KS4
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- The ability to build positive, respectful relationships with pupils
- Commitment to wider school values and enrichment opportunities
- Willingness to contribute to department planning and development
