We are working closely with a number of secondary schools across Northampton & surrounding areas who are seeking reliable and confident Cover Supervisors to provide classroom cover during teacher absence.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young people, can manage a classroom confidently, and want flexible, rewarding work in a secondary school environment.

Whether you’re looking to gain experience before teacher training, are an experienced cover supervisor, or have previously worked in education, this is an excellent opportunity to build consistent school‑based experience.


The Role

As a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school, you will:

  • Supervise full classes across KS3 and KS4
  • Deliver pre‑planned work set by teaching staff
  • Maintain a calm, focused, and purposeful learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Support pupils to stay on task and engaged in their learning

No lesson planning or marking is required.
