Mathematics Teacher Required – North Birmingham – September Start

Salary: £165-£262 per day (dependent on experience)

Monarch Education is working in partnership with a high-performing and well-regarded secondary school in North Birmingham to recruit a Mathematics Teacher for a full-time temporary role starting September.

The school is part of a successful local academy trust and is known for its strong academic outcomes, excellent behaviour, and calm learning environment. The successful candidate will join a large, well-resourced Mathematics department with a shared commitment to high-quality teaching and consistent approaches across Key Stages 3 and 4. The department is collaborative, organised, and supportive, making this role suitable for experienced teachers or confident ECTs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Teach consistently high-quality lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress effectively
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners
  • Contribute to departmental planning and assessment processes

Desirable Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at KS3 and KS4
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Passion for Mathematics and raising student attainment
  • Ability to build positive, professional relationships with pupils and colleagues
  • Commitment to the wider ethos and values of the school
