Monarch Education are recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant to support an EYFS pupil on a one to one basis in a school in Burton upon Trent.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in early years and special educational needs, who can provide consistent, nurturing support to help a young pupil access learning and settle into the school environment.
About the Role
You will work closely with one pupil in the Early Years Foundation Stage, supporting their development, engagement and routine throughout the school day.
The role requires patience, adaptability and a strong understanding of supporting additional needs in a structured and positive way.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one to one support to an EYFS pupil
Support early development, communication and engagement
Assist with classroom routines and learning activities
Implement strategies to support behaviour and emotional regulation
Work closely with the class teacher and SEN staff
Create a safe, supportive and consistent environment
Requirements
Experience working with SEN or SEND
Experience within EYFS or early years settings is highly desirable
Patient, calm and nurturing approach
Strong communication and relationship building skills
Understanding of child development and learning through play
Background in education, childcare or care settings preferred
