Monarch Education is working with a secondary school in Erdington to recruit a Drama Teacher to deliver lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Role Overview

  • Plan and deliver Drama lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience beneficial)
  • Prepare students for assessments and examinations
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Differentiate lessons to support a range of abilities
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress
  • Contribute to the wider school environment, including enrichment where required

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver practical and theory-based drama lessons
  • Support students’ development in performance, creativity, and communication
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment
  • Work with department staff on curriculum planning
  • Maintain accurate records of attainment and progress

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Drama in a UK secondary school
  • Ability to teach across KS3 and KS4
