English Teacher

Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

An ambitious and forward‑thinking secondary academy in Oxford is seeking a qualified English Teacher to join its dedicated and supportive team from the next academic year.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to delivering engaging English lessons and inspiring a love of language and literature across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with KS5 opportunities for the right candidate).

The Role

• Teach English across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
• Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons that drive progress
• Assess, track and support student achievement
• Contribute positively to the English department and wider school community
• Uphold high standards of behaviour, inclusivity and academic excellence

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds QTS (or is on track to achieve it)
• Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for English
• Is reflective, organised and committed to continuous improvement
• Can inspire and motivate students of all abilities
• ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply
