Monarch Education is working with a primary school in Selly Oak to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils from EYFS to KS2 within a Resource Base provision.
Role
- Support pupils with SEN across EYFS to KS2
- Work within a Resource Base setting
- Provide 1:1 and small group support
- Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs
- Support communication, literacy, and numeracy development
- Implement behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
- Promote engagement and independence
- Support transition between Resource Base and mainstream classes
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver support in line with EHCPs and individual plans
- Assist with targeted interventions
- Follow structured routine and support strategies
- Work with teachers and SEN staff
- Record and report on pupil progress
- Support pupils throughout the school day
Requirements
- Experience supporting SEN in an education setting is essential
- Experience with primary-aged pupils
- Minimum 12 weeks’ UK school experience
- Understanding of behaviour support strategies
- Ability to follow structured support plans
- Minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
