Monarch Education is working with a primary school in Selly Oak to recruit a SEND Teacher, full time to start in September 2026.

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for pupils with SEND
  • Teach pupils with needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and complex needs
  • Adapt learning to meet individual needs and EHCP outcomes
  • Deliver structured, personalised teaching programmes
  • Use strategies to support behaviour, communication, and engagement
  • Assess, track, and report on pupil progress
  • Work with Teaching Assistants and SEN staff
  • Support inclusion within the wider school environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver teaching in line with EHCPs and individual plans
  • Plan 1:1, small group, and class-based learning
  • Support development of academic and social skills
  • Implement behaviour and support strategies
  • Maintain accurate records of progress and attainment
  • Contribute to reviews, reports, and meetings
  • Liaise with parents and external professionals

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Experience working with SEND pupils in a primary setting
  • Ability to plan and deliver differentiated teaching
  • Understanding of EHCPs and SEND provision
  • Ability to manage behaviour and support learning
