Monarch Education is working closely with a primary SEN school in Kings Norton to recruit a full‑time SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism (ASC) and associated needs within a structured, nurturing learning environment.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a patient, compassionate individual who is passionate about supporting young children with Autism and helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to primary‑aged pupils
  • Support children with Autism (ASC) and additional learning needs
  • Assist with EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
  • Support communication, emotional regulation, and behaviour
  • Assist pupils with sensory needs, routines, and transitions
  • Help maintain a safe, calm, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCo, and support staff

Essential Criteria

  • Experience working with children with Autism (ASC) or SEND
  • Confident supporting primary‑aged pupils
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Ability to support behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Available to work full‑time on a long‑term basis
