Monarch Education are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bolton who are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant specialising in Autism (ASC) to join their supportive team.

This role is full time, long term to begin in September 2026, however an earlier start may be considered.

This role involves working closely with pupils who require additional support to access learning, helping them develop confidence, communication skills, and independence within a nurturing classroom environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Autism
  • Implement EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
  • Support behaviour and emotional regulation using structured strategies
  • Adapt classroom activities to meet individual needs
  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Work alongside the SENCO, teachers, and external professionals

About You

  • Experience supporting children with Autism or SEND
  • Calm, patient, and understanding approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for inclusive education
  • Relevant TA qualification (Level 2/3) – desirable
  • Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or sensory approaches – beneficial
