About the Role
You will be delivering engaging and well-structured Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop performance, composition, and listening skills. The school places a strong emphasis on creativity and participation, encouraging students to explore a range of musical styles and instruments.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Music across KS3 and KS4 (up to GCSE level)
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons
- Support students in developing performance, composition, and analytical skills
- Lead or contribute to extracurricular activities such as choirs, bands, or performances
- Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental initiatives
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and student progress
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and creative learning environment
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge in Music
- Experience teaching up to GCSE level
- Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities
- Excellent classroom management skills
- A passion for music and student development
- A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
