About the Role

Monarch Education is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Oldham (OL8) to recruit a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant for a full-time role starting in September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them reach their full potential within a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
  • Support teaching and learning in the classroom alongside the class teacher
  • Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual needs
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
  • Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
  • Help create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Requirements

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
  • Experience providing 1:1 and small group SEN support
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, adaptable and proactive approach
  • Commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
