Monarch Education are working with a secondary school in Perry Barr to appoint a full-time Maths Teacher from September. This is a long-term teaching role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The school are looking for a motivated and confident Maths Teacher who can deliver engaging, purposeful lessons and help students build confidence, resilience and progress in Maths.

This role would suit a teacher who can bring strong subject knowledge, clear classroom routines and a positive approach to teaching and learning.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivering high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Creating clear, structured and engaging learning activities
  • Helping students develop confidence with numeracy and problem-solving
  • Supporting pupils with different abilities and learning needs
  • Preparing students for assessments and GCSE success
  • Using assessment to identify gaps and drive progress
  • Building a positive classroom culture with high expectations
  • Working closely with the Maths department to support curriculum delivery

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Experience teaching Maths in a secondary school setting
  • Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Maths curriculum
  • Ability to make Maths accessible, engaging and relevant
  • Confident behaviour management and classroom presence
  • Strong communication and organisation skills
  • A proactive, reliable and professional approach
  • Passion for raising attainment and supporting student progress
  • ECTs and experienced teachers encouraged to apply
