Monarch Education is delighted to be working with a well-regarded secondary school in Birmingham to recruit a full-time, qualified Mathematics Teacher (QTS). This role is initially for one term, with the potential to extend for the remainder of the academic year for the right candidate.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students to develop confidence, analytical skills, and a genuine enjoyment of the subject. The successful candidate will contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and the wider life of the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons
  • Differentiate learning to meet a range of abilities
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Contribute to departmental development and school initiatives

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching Mathematics in a secondary school setting
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management skills
  • Is passionate about improving student outcomes
  • Has excellent communication and organisational abilities
