Supply Teacher – SEN Schools
Location: Mansfield & Nottingham
Start Date: ASAP / Ongoing
Contract: Flexible (Full-time / Part-time / Day-to-day)
About the Role
Monarch Education are currently recruiting for Supply Teachers to work within a range of SEN schools across Mansfield and Nottingham.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in specialist settings supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), and complex learning difficulties. The role offers flexibility and the chance to gain valuable experience across a variety of supportive and rewarding school environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and adapted lessons to meet a range of SEN needs
- Support pupils with autism, SEMH, and additional learning needs
- Manage behaviour positively using appropriate strategies
- Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Differentiate learning to suit individual abilities and EHCP targets
- Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff
- Build strong relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress
- Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN
- A calm, patient, and flexible approach
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Ability to adapt teaching styles to suit individual needs
- Passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
Desirable
- Experience working in SEN schools or alternative provisions
- Knowledge of ASD, SEMH, or complex needs
- Team Teach or similar behaviour management training
- Experience working with EHCPs and differentiated planning
