TEACHING ASSISTANT

We are currently recruiting for two exciting full-time Teaching Assistant opportunities in a welcoming school based in Northfield (B31). These roles are to start for the new academic year and offer the chance to become part of a supportive and well-established team.

Roles Available:

🔹 SEN Teaching Assistants (SEN Hub)

• Working within a dedicated SEN hub
• Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
• Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support

🔹 Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistants (General TA Role)

• Working across KS2 classrooms
• Supporting teaching and learning across the curriculum
• SEN experience is beneficial but not essential

About the role(s):

• Monday to Friday – Full time (term time only)
• Based in Northfield (B31)
• Long-term roles with the potential to continue
• Working closely with class teachers and the wider school team

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and committed individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.

You will:

• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred)
• Have recent school-based experience (within the last 2 years, with references)
• Have a positive, proactive, and flexible approach
• Be confident supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Work effectively as part of a team
• Be committed to creating a safe and engaging learning environment

For the SEN role:

• Experience supporting children with additional needs is essential
• A good understanding of SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language) is highly desirable

For the KS2 role:

• Strong classroom support skills and curriculum understanding
• SEN experience is desirable but not essential
