EYFS Teaching Assistant – Long-Term Support Role

We’re looking for a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a lovely, small SEND school in Keynsham. Part of a well-established and supportive trust, this school is known for its warm, welcoming atmosphere, strong values, and commitment to helping every child thrive.
About the Role
This is a full-time, long-term position starting in September, where you’ll provide 1:1 support to a new EYFS pupil who is currently undiagnosed and awaiting an EHCP.
You’ll play a vital role in helping this child settle into school life, supporting their development, and creating a safe, positive foundation for their learning journey.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing tailored 1:1 support throughout the school day
- Working closely with the SENCo and the child’s family to ensure consistent care
- Supporting emotional wellbeing, engagement, and early development
- Helping establish routines and a positive introduction to school life
