Monarch Education is recruiting Early Career Teachers (ECT’s) for a wide variety of teaching roles in secondary schools across the Birmingham and surrounding areas from September 2026.

We are looking to appoint passionate teachers who can maintain a high standard of teaching, inspire the students, and continue to drive up performance. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a variety of secondary schools with the flexibility of working around your commitments as we offer daily cover as well as long-term and permanent contracts.

We have had success in supported many ECTs in completing at least One term of their Induction as well as temporary roles turning into a permanent contract.

To be successful for this role, you must:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum at Key stage 3 and 4. The additional experience of teaching KS5 would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Have a passionate and innovative educator
  • Sstrong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and inspire students
  • Be commitment to delivering high-quality, engaging lessons
  • Hold or be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check on the update service
  • Provide a minimum of 2 x references to cover the last 2 years
