Pay Rate: £92.59 – £114.48 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Fixed Term

Duration: Full Academic Year (2026/27)
Monarch Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in North Manchester (M40) for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
This is a full-time position for the entire 2026/27 academic year, supporting pupils across the primary age range, with a particular focus on children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
We are looking for a compassionate, patient and enthusiastic individual who has previous experience supporting children with additional needs and is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide classroom support to the class teacher across the school day.
- Work on a 1:1 basis and with small groups of pupils with SEN.
- Support children with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties and social, emotional and mental health needs.
- Assist with the delivery of personalised learning programmes and interventions.
- Encourage positive behaviour and support pupils’ social and emotional development.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school setting.
- Essential experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
