Monarch Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Aston, Birmingham from September.

This is a full-time position supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential within a supportive school environment.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
  • Support children with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning plans.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Support pupils both in and outside of the classroom environment.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience working with children with SEN.
  • Is patient, nurturing and resilient.
  • Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Can adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
  • Holds a Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Has a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
