Essential Requirements
To be considered for this SEMH Teacher role in Erdington, you must have:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
- Experience managing challenging behaviour in an educational, youth work, alternative provision, or residential setting
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- The right to work in the UK
- A genuine commitment to safeguarding and supporting vulnerable learners
A formal teaching qualification is desirable but not essential. Applications from unqualified teachers with relevant SEMH experience are welcomed.
