Monarch Education are currently supporting a secondary school in Perry Barr who are looking to appoint an RS Teacher for a full-time position starting in September.
This is a long-term role with the potential to become permanent, offering a good opportunity for someone looking to settle into a school and make an impact.
The role focuses on delivering Religious Studies across KS3 and KS4, covering a broad curriculum including religion, ethics, philosophy and world views. The school are keen to bring in someone who can make lessons engaging, encourage student voice, and create an environment where pupils feel comfortable exploring different perspectives.
You’ll be joining a supportive Humanities department and will be expected to contribute to planning, assessment and overall student progress within the subject.
Day to day, you can expect to:
* deliver a mix of KS3 and KS4 RS lessons
* lead discussion-based sessions and encourage debate
* support students with written work and exam-style responses
* plan lessons that are accessible across different ability levels
* prepare students for assessments and GCSE content
* manage behaviour in line with school policy
* work closely with colleagues to support outcomes
To be considered, you’ll need:
* QTS
* experience teaching Religious Studies in a secondary school
* a solid understanding of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
* confidence leading classroom discussion and managing behaviour
* good organisation and communication skills
* a professional, reliable approach
