Monarch Education are recruiting for a Primary Teaching Assistant to support primary schools across Chesterfield from September 2026.

We are working with a number of schools preparing for the new academic year and are looking for proactive, engaging and committed support staff who can make a positive impact in the classroom. These roles offer the opportunity to work across a range of year groups, supporting pupils’ learning, development and wellbeing throughout the school day.

The Role:

• Support teaching and learning across the primary age range
• Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging classroom activities
• Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
• Encourage positive behaviour and classroom engagement
• Assist with intervention sessions and targeted support
• Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working within a UK primary school
• Level 3 qualification or above
• Strong understanding of the Teaching Assistant role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to engage, motivate and support pupils
• Patient, adaptable and reliable approach
• Commitment to supporting children’s learning and wellbeing
