We are excited to be recruiting for a Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in the Yardley area of Birmingham, starting from the new academic year.

About the role:

• Full-time Year 5 Teacher position
• Starting from the new academic year
• Planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
• Creating a positive and stimulating classroom environment where all pupils can thrive
• Supporting pupils as they continue to develop academically, socially, and emotionally
• Working collaboratively with a dedicated and supportive staff team
• Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and carers
• Contributing to the wider life of the school community
• Opportunity to make a lasting impact during an important stage of pupils’ primary education

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated teacher who has a genuine commitment to helping children succeed. You will be an excellent classroom practitioner who can inspire and motivate pupils while maintaining high expectations for learning and behaviour.

You will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have recent experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5
• Have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum
• Be confident in planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment
• Have high expectations for both behaviour and achievement
• Be able to effectively assess, monitor, and support pupil progress
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leaders
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and carers
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• Be committed, reliable, and flexible in your approach
• Have a passion for inclusive education and supporting all learners to achieve their best
