Location: Birmingham/Solihull

Contract: Full time – temporary to permanent roles

Salary: Competitive – Based on Experience

About the role:

We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant for Behaviour management to work with children and young people who require additional support with their social, emotional and behavioural development. This rewarding role involves working within both mainstream and specialist educational settings, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies in line with individual support plans.
  • Support pupils in developing social skills, emotional regulation and positive relationships.
  • Work closely with teaching staff, SEND teams, and external professionals to promote pupil progress.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
  • A good understanding of a variety of special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The flexibility to work within both SEND specialist provisions and mainstream school environments.
