Monarch Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Primary SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in St George, Bristol. The Role
As a Primary SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with SEND both within the classroom and during wider school activities.
- Deliver targeted interventions and personalised learning support.
- Work closely with class teachers, the SENDCo, and external professionals.
- Help pupils access the curriculum and achieve their individual learning goals.
- Support social, emotional, and academic development.
- Encourage confidence, independence, and positive engagement in learning.
- Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing.
- Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and staff.
What We’re Looking For

- Have experience supporting children with SEND in schools or similar settings.
- Are patient, nurturing, and resilient.
- Have strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Can support pupils with a range of learning, social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
- Are passionate about inclusion and helping children succeed.
- Can work effectively as part of a team.
- Have a positive and proactive attitude.
