SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Birmingham/Solihull
Contract: Full time – temporary to permanent roles

About the role:
We are seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to help out one of our Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools. This rewarding role involves having a strong care background and be passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with autism and additional learning needs.
- Support non-verbal pupils using communication methods such as PECS, Makaton, visual aids, or other communication strategies.
- Assist with personal care where required.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a care setting, support work, residential care, healthcare, or a similar environment.
- A good understanding of a variety of special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of the needs of non-verbal
