The Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support teaching and learning across Key stage 1 and Key stage 2.
- Deliver planned lessons and intervention sessions in the absence of the class teacher.
- Work closely with teachers to plan, prepare, and adapt learning activities.
- Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups of pupils.
- Assist in raising attainment and closing learning gaps.
- Support pupils with additional learning needs where required.
- Contribute to assessment, monitoring, and reporting on pupil progress.
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement throughout the school.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
What We’re Looking For
We would love to hear from candidates who:
- Hold HLTA status or have substantial experience working at HLTA level.
- Have previous experience supporting teaching and learning within a school setting.
- Are confident delivering lessons and leading small group interventions.
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Are adaptable, resilient, and proactive.
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
