Level 2 Teaching Assistant (SEND)

Location: Wolverhampton
Hours: Full-time, 32.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, term time)
Contract: Long-Term Temporary – Trail Day being arranged ASAP
Pay Rate: £90 – £130 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

About the Role

Monarch Education is seeking dedicated and compassionate Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist SEND setting in Wolverhampton. This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils with Autism and a range of additional learning needs in a rewarding and supportive environment.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping young people achieve their potential. Previous education experience is welcome but not essential. Candidates with the right attitude, patience, resilience, and commitment to supporting children with additional needs are encouraged to apply.

This role will involve working closely with teachers and other support staff to provide high-quality educational and pastoral support to pupils throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with Autism and additional learning needs in the classroom
  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support where required
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement with learning
  • Assist with the personal care and wellbeing of pupils where required
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

Essential Qualifications

Applicants should hold one of the following:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Education, or Health & Social Care
  • Relevant degree in Education, Psychology, Child Development, SEND, or a related field
