Monarch Education are recruiting Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Chesterfield and the surrounding areas from September 2026.

With schools continuing to invest in additional classroom support, we are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and proactive individuals who are passionate about helping children succeed. What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or educational setting
• A positive, proactive and adaptable attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
• Right to work in the UK

Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Learning Support Assistant, Sports Coach, Youth Worker, Care Worker or in a similar child-focused role would be highly advantageous.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils both inside and outside of the classroom, helping them to engage with learning and reach their full potential.

You may be supporting a whole class, working with small intervention groups or providing one-to-one support where required. Schools are looking for individuals who can use their initiative, promote positive behaviour and create an environment where children feel supported, encouraged and motivated to learn.

This role is ideal for experienced Teaching Assistants as well as individuals looking to develop a long-term career within education.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils with classroom learning and daily activities
• Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions
• Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
• Encourage confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours
• Support pupil engagement and participation
• Work collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff
• Help create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
