Are you an experienced Behaviour Mentor looking to make a real difference in a Salford secondary school?

Monarch Education is recruiting a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support students in a welcoming secondary school in Salford. You’ll work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to promote positive behaviour, improve engagement, and help students overcome barriers to learning.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring to students who require behavioural, emotional, or pastoral support.
  • Build positive relationships with students to improve behaviour, engagement, attendance, and wellbeing.
  • Implement behaviour support plans and strategies agreed by the school’s pastoral and safeguarding teams.
  • Support students in managing emotions, making positive choices, and overcoming barriers to learning.
  • Promote positive behaviour and help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers, Heads of Year, SENCOs, and external agencies to monitor and support student progress.
  • Record and report on student behaviour, achievements, and interventions in line with school policies.

Essential Requirements
* Experience supporting pupils with SEND, e.g. autism, SEMH, physical or sensory needs
* Relevant training (e.g. Team Teach, Makaton, ASD awareness) desirable
* Patience, resilience and a calm, nurturing approach
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Right to work in the UK
