Maths Teacher – Bordesley Green Campus – Immediate Start

Applications without a recognised Mathematics qualification and teaching qualification, alongside UK-based teaching experience (evidenced on your CV), will not be considered.

We are currently recruiting for a skilled and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a well-established educational setting at the Bordesley Green Campus. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator to make a positive impact on learners by developing their mathematical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and confidence in the subject.

Qualification Required: Must hold a degree in Mathematics (or a closely related subject) and a recognised teaching qualification

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, QTS or equivalent).
  • A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Strong subject knowledge across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to deliver engaging Maths lessons.
  • Experience teaching GCSE Mathematics and preparing students for examinations.
  • The ability to engage, motivate, and support learners of varying abilities.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Experience using assessment data to monitor progress and inform teaching strategies.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and raising achievement for all learners.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective Mathematics lessons aligned with curriculum requirements.
  • Support students in developing mathematical fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities, including SEND and EAL students.
  • Monitor, assess, and track learner progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Prepare students for internal assessments and GCSE examinations, ensuring they are supported to achieve their potential.
  • Maintain accurate assessment records and contribute to departmental tracking and reporting processes.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment that promotes high expectations and student success.
  • Manage behaviour effectively in accordance with school policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and pastoral teams to support student development and achievement.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, learner welfare, and professional practice.
