Monarch Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work within primary schools across North Manchester, supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). You will play a vital role in helping children overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, develop independence and achieve their full potential.
This position is ideal for a compassionate, resilient and proactive individual who has experience supporting children with complex needs, providing personal care and delivering effective 1:1 and small group interventions.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing tailored 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
- Supporting small groups of children with SEND in and out of the classroom
- Working closely with pupils who have complex learning, communication and behavioural needs
- Assisting with personal care where required, ensuring dignity and wellbeing at all times
- Implementing EHCP targets and supporting individual learning plans
- Encouraging independence, social development and emotional wellbeing
- Liaising effectively with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
- Creating a positive, safe and engaging learning environment
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Has previous experience supporting children with SEND in a primary school setting
- Has experience providing support on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Is confident working with pupils with complex needs
- Has experience of personal care responsibilities
- Demonstrates patience, empathy and excellent communication skills
- Can build strong, trusting relationships with children, staff and families
- Is passionate about making a genuine difference in children’s lives
