Hours: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:30am-3:30pm
Contract: Temporary to Permanent | ASAP Start (Subject to Successful Trial)
Pay Rate: £92.59 – £120 per day (dependent on experience)

Monarch Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive SEMH all-through school in Walsall that caters for pupils from Primary through to Secondary age. The school supports students who require additional help with emotional regulation, behaviour, communication, and engagement in education, providing a nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to succeed.

The Role
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
* Assist students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs both inside and outside the classroom
* Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and positive behaviour strategies
* Build strong, trusting relationships and act as a positive role model
* Support pupils to engage with learning and reach their individual targets
* Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams, and external professionals
* Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using a calm and consistent approach
* Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people in education, care, support work, youth work, coaching, or residential settings
* A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
* Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
* A genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEMH needs
* The ability to remain calm, positive, and proactive in challenging situations
* A commitment to helping young people achieve positive outcomes
