Monarch Education are working in partnership with a specialist SEND school in Nuneaton and are looking for compassionate, resilient and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support children and young people with Autism (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs within a nurturing and person-centred environment. The school is committed to helping every pupil develop confidence, independence and the skills they need to succeed both in education and beyond.

The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils to access learning, develop positive relationships and build the confidence they need to achieve their individual goals.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support
• Supporting pupils with Autism (ASC) and SEMH needs
• Building positive and trusting relationships with young people
• Promoting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
• Supporting pupils with social, emotional and communication development
• Encouraging independence and life skills
• Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and personalised learning activities
• Monitoring, recording and reporting pupil progress
• Supporting pupils during challenging situations with a calm and consistent approach
• Creating a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
