Monarch Education are working in partnership with a specialist SEND school in Rugby and are looking for compassionate, resilient and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support children and young people with Autism (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs within a nurturing and inclusive environment. The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils overcome barriers to learning, regulate emotions and achieve positive outcomes.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing 1:1 support and small group interventions
  • Supporting pupils with Autism (ASC) and SEMH needs
  • Promoting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Developing positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Supporting pupils with social, emotional and communication development
  • Assisting teachers in delivering personalised learning activities
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and resilience
  • Monitoring and recording pupil progress
  • Supporting pupils during challenging situations with a calm and consistent approach
  • Helping to create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
