Monarch Education is seeking resilient, compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour across a range of primary schools in Tameside.
This is not your average classroom support role. Every day brings a new challenge, a new breakthrough and the chance to have a lasting impact on a child’s future. You’ll be working with pupils who need consistency, patience and positive role models to help them engage with learning, regulate emotions and achieve success both inside and outside the classroom.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting pupils with a range of SEND, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and complex learning needs
- Providing targeted 1:1 and small group support
- Helping pupils manage behaviours that challenge through positive behaviour strategies
- Building strong, trusting relationships with children who may struggle to engage in education
- Supporting emotional regulation, social development and communication skills
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
- Promoting a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Assisting with personal care where required
We’re Looking For People Who
- Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND, complex needs or behaviours that challenge
- Are calm, patient and confident in managing difficult situations
- Have a genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
- Can build positive relationships and act as a strong role model
- Are adaptable and happy to work across different primary year groups
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
