Monarch Education is working with a secondary school in Small Heath looking to appoint a confident Cover Supervisor on a full-time basis.

This role is best suited to someone who is comfortable taking charge of a classroom, setting clear expectations and ensuring students remain focused and engaged throughout lessons.

The school has well-established behaviour systems, supportive leadership and a positive working environment, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a long-term position.

The Role

  • Supervising lessons across a range of subjects
  • Delivering work set by teaching staff
  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement
  • Ensuring learning continues in the teacher’s absence
  • Managing classroom expectations confidently and consistently
  • Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons
  • Following school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times

We’re Looking For Someone Who

  • Has previous experience working within a secondary school setting
  • Can confidently lead a class independently
  • Has strong behaviour management skills
  • Builds positive relationships with students and staff
  • Is professional, reliable and adaptable
  • Has a calm and confident presence in the classroom
  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and student wellbeing
