Religious Studies Teacher (Part-Time – 3 Days per Week)
January 2027 Start | One Term Initially | Birmingham

Monarch Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Religious Studies Teacher to join a successful and well-regarded secondary school in the Central Birmingham area from January 2027.

This is a part-time position (3 days per week), initially for one term, offering an excellent opportunity to work within a high-achieving and supportive school environment where academic excellence and student development are highly valued.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking Religious Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to develop critical thinking skills and a deeper understanding of diverse beliefs, values, and cultures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality Religious Studies lessons.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assessing, monitoring, and supporting student progress.
  • Maintaining excellent classroom management.
  • Contributing to the wider ethos and values of the school.

To be considered for this role, you will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Have experience teaching Religious Studies within a secondary setting.
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for Religious Education.
  • Possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Be committed to raising attainment and inspiring young people.
