Salary: £160 – £250 per day

Upper KS2 Teacher Required in Derby

Monarch Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Upper KS2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Derby on a full-time maternity cover basis.

This exciting opportunity is available from 2nd November 2026 and will continue for the remainder of the academic year. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons within an Upper Key Stage 2 classroom, supporting pupils to achieve their full potential during a crucial stage of their primary education.

This role would suit an experienced teacher or a confident ECT with strong Key Stage 2 experience who is committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The Role

As an Upper KS2 Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes pupil achievement
• Assess, monitor and track pupil progress effectively
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners
• Establish strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning
• Contribute to the wider life of the school community

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills
• Have a strong understanding of the primary curriculum
• Be committed to raising standards and outcomes for pupils
• Possess excellent communication and organisational skills
• Be able to provide a nurturing and engaging learning experience
