Teaching Assistant

Monarch Education are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school in Staffordshire.

This is a full-time role supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language needs, SEMH and learning difficulties. The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCO, class teachers and wider school team to provide targeted support that enables pupils to thrive both academically and socially.

This role would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about inclusion and enjoys helping children overcome barriers to learning.

The Role

• Providing 1:1 and small group SEND support across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
• Supporting pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
• Delivering interventions focused on communication, literacy, numeracy and social development
• Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
• Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and parents
• Tracking progress and contributing to pupil development plans
• Helping to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment

Essential Requirements

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification
• Minimum 12 months’ experience working within a UK school
• Previous experience supporting children with SEND
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
