English Teacher

Monarch Education are working with a secondary school in the Small Heath area who are looking to appoint a dedicated and passionate English Teacher following October half term.

This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The school is looking for a confident and engaging teacher who can deliver high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students develop their literacy, analytical and communication skills.

The Role:

• Teaching English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4
• Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
• Supporting students with reading, writing and literary analysis
• Preparing pupils for assessments and GCSE examinations
• Marking, assessing and tracking student progress
• Creating a positive and productive learning environment
• Managing behaviour in line with school expectations
• Working closely with the English department to raise attainment and outcomes

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching English within a secondary school setting
• Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 English curriculum
• Confidence teaching both English Language and Literature
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A professional, proactive and reliable approach
• A commitment to raising achievement and supporting student wellbeing
