1:1 Teaching Assistant, Perry Barr – Birmingham
Monarch Education are looking for an experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to start ASAP on a full-time basis. This role is starting ASAP until the end of July 2027, possibly continuing into the next academic year. You will be working on a 1:1 basis with a Year 2 pupil who has mobility issues, an EHCP in place and visual impairment needs.
Requirements of applicant:
- UK Level 3 Minimum Qualification in Childcare or Early Years
- Sound knowledge of the EYFS National Curriculum
- Experienced supporting children of EYFS age who has moderate to severe SEND Needs
- Confident providing personal care to children where necessary
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 support to a pupil in the toddlers room who has severe SEND Needs
- Keep up to date records on the progress of key children and report back to senior staff and parents
- Provide personal care to pupils where appropriate
- Follow policies and procedures in line with safeguarding and child protection guidelines
- Ensure children with identified and unidentified SEND needs are kept up to speed with the rest of the class
- Help children to meet their Early Stages of Development targets

Salary: 8.98 – £17 per hour (Reviewed after 12 weeks placement*)
