Tutor – Alternative Provision (Driver Required)
Monarch Education are recruiting for a Tutor to support learners across Nottinghamshire within an Alternative Provision setting.
This rewarding role involves working with young people who may be unable to access mainstream education due to a range of additional needs, including SEMH, Autism, ADHD, anxiety, mental health needs, and behavioural challenges.
You will be responsible for collecting learners from home and transporting them safely to the centre, supporting them throughout the day, and delivering engaging learning sessions that help them achieve positive educational outcomes.
Working Days: Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Collecting learners and safely transporting them to and from the provision
- Delivering tailored educational support to KS3 and KS4 learners
- Providing 1:1 and small group tutoring sessions
- Supporting English, Maths, and other curriculum areas
- Building positive relationships and encouraging engagement in learning
- Managing behaviour through a calm, consistent, and supportive approach
- Helping learners overcome barriers to education and achieve their goals
- Working closely with teaching and pastoral teams
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people
- Confident supporting learners with additional needs and challenging behaviours
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Business Insurance on your vehicle
- Reliable and willing to travel across Nottinghamshire
