Daily Rate of Pay: £100-£125

Monarch Education are working in partnership with a number of schools in Tameside, who need a number of Cover Supervisors to work in their schools ASAP on an ongoing basis.

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • monitoring and supervising classes across all subjects.
  • during the short-term absence of teachers
  • ensuring that pupils continue to learn and are kept on task.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to gain experience within a Secondary School before they start the next stage of their career in Education.

The role

  • Supervising classes in the short term absence of the class teacher
  • Ensuring pupils are on task and continue to learn by keeping them on task with work that has been pre-planned for you
  • Managing the pupils behaviour in the classroom, in accordance with the school behaviour policy
  • Maintaining a positive learning environment, dealing with low level disruption, utilising TAs in class

The ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience in some capacity of working with children or young people – this can be voluntary of paid and doesn’t need to be school based.
  • A degree in any subject is ideal but other qualifications can be considered – ideal for candidates who are hoping to embark on their PGCE
  • A strong commitment to supporting pupil development and progress in school.
  • A passion for wanting to be part of a wider school team.

These are full time positions, Mon to Friday during term time 08.20 to 3.30; these are ongoing long-term roles with potential for being offered a contract with a school following a successful placement. Pay is reflective of the hard work you put in and ranges from £100-£120 a day.
