f so, we invite you to join our dedicated team at Monarch to work at a thriving secondary school located in the heart of Birmingham. We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor’s to support students in their educational journey. We work with a number of schools in Birmingham and we are committed to providing high-quality education and fostering a culture of inclusively, diversity, and excellence.

Job Description: As a Cover Supervisor your role will be crucial in maintaining the continuity of learning in the absence of regular classroom teachers. You will be responsible for supervising and supporting students, ensuring that they engage in meaningful learning activities and follow the school’s behaviour policies.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering pre-set lesson plans and materials in the absence of regular teachers.
  • Managing the classroom effectively to create a positive and conducive learning environment.
  • Providing support to students in their learning, addressing questions, and offering guidance.
  • Promoting good behaviour and following the school’s behaviour management policies.
  • Keeping accurate records of attendance and reporting any concerns to relevant staff members. Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in any discipline (desirable).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience of working within the classroom
  • The ability to manage a classroom effectively.
  • Patience, resilience, and a passion for working with young people.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies (training will be provided).
