1:1 Teaching Assistant Required for ASD/ADHD Support

Monarch Education are currently seeking a dedicated and patient 1:1 Teaching Assistant in the Blackpool (FY6) area to support a KS2 pupil with ADHD & ASD based in a mainstream primary school.

The Role:

• Full time, Monday to Friday commencing in January 2024
• Hours 8:30am – 3:30pm
• Classroom based, working within an Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ Primary School
• Supporting a pupil with a diagnosis of ADHD & ASD, based in a Year 3 classroom
• You will be upholding Safeguarding and promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Support the child with their learning, differentiating support methods to meet their needs and supporting their social, emotional and mental wellbeing.
• Communicate with other additional adults in order to support the child’s EHCP and update parents/carers/class teacher in regard to pupil progress
• Support the class teacher with lessons, managing pupil behaviour, upholding school ethos
• Establish good working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding appropriately to individual needs.
• Prepare classroom as directed for lessons and clear afterwards.
• Support the pupil in respect of their individual learning needs & establish pupil outcomes
