Year 3 General Teaching Assistant

Do you have a relevant degree/qualification in Psychology, Health, and Social Care or similar?

Monarch Education are currently seeking a caring and considerate General Teaching Assistant in the Blackpool (FY4) area to support Key Stage 2 aged pupils within a Year 3 classroom with their learning.

The Role:

• Full time, Monday to Friday commencing in January 2024
• Hours 8:30am – 3:30pm
• Classroom based, working within an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ Primary School
• Supporting pupils in KS2
• You will be upholding Safeguarding and promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Support children with their learning, differentiating support methods to meet the varied needs of pupils, holding interventions for children with different learning goals
• Support the class teacher with lessons, managing pupil behaviour, upholding school ethos
• Establish good working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding appropriately to individual needs.
• Prepare classroom as directed for lessons and clear afterwards.
• Be aware of pupil problems/progress/achievements and report to the teacher as agreed.
• Support pupils in respect of local and national learning strategies e.g. literacy, numeracy, as directed by the teacher.
• Assist with the supervision of pupils out of directed lesson time, including before and after school if appropriate and within working hours.
