Job Description:

Monarch Education is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant Level 3. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the teaching and learning process, ensuring the overall development and well-being of students.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the classroom teacher in planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
  • Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to create and maintain a safe and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teacher and parents/guardians as required.
  • Assist with the preparation and organization of teaching materials and resources.
  • Supervise students during break times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Contribute to the overall school community by participating in extracurricular activities and events.

Requirements:

  • Education: A minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is required.
  • Experience: Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant in an educational setting, preferably at Level 3.
  • Knowledge: Sound understanding of the national curriculum and teaching methodologies.
  • Special Educational Needs (SEN) Experience: Experience working with students with special educational needs, including knowledge of relevant strategies and interventions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with students, teachers, parents/guardians, and other stakeholders.
  • Teamwork: Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment.
  • Organization: Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Safeguarding: A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Professionalism: A professional and positive attitude, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
