Art Teacher

Area: Birmingham

Salary: £140-£180 per day (varied depending on experience and qualifications)

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8.30-3.30pm

Monarch Education are recruiting Teachers and Cover Supervisors in schools within the Birmingham area.

Applicants should have experience working with young people in any capacity, this could be as a Sports Coach, Dance Teacher, Scout/Guide Leader ect. We are looking for people who want to transfer their skills into a Cover Supervisor or Academic Coach Role. The role is a fantastic opportunity for people considering a career in teaching and could be the first step to starting your career in education!

Requirements of the candidate:

  • Experience working with young people
  • A strong team player, with excellent organisation and interpersonal skills, who is able to support and inspire children to learn
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working collaboratively in a dynamic and supportive environment
  • The ability to adapt to an ever changing workload
  • The readiness to learn and take on a new challenge

Responsibilities:

  • Engage and encourage learners to use their language skills
  • Monitor students’ playtime and physical activities
  • Documenting student development and progress to share with parents
  • Encouraging creativity in pupils by organising art and craft projects daily
  • Introducing interactive activities into the classroom and encouraging students to voice their questions and concerns
